tar error on OpenFOAM2.0.1

Hi

When i tried to tar -xvzf OpenFOAM-2.0.1.gtgz i am getting this error

OpenFOAM-2.0.1/tutorials/multiphase/interPhaseChangeFoam/cavitatingBullet/constant/triSurface/bullet.stl
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--crc error

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--length error
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Anyone knows if there is any solution or an alternate way to unpack the source?

Thanks a lot

Cheers
Tom

Greetings Tom,

Probably there was an error during the download process. See in the page http://www.openfoam.com/download/source.php the md5sum numbers for each tarball package. To check each package, simply run:
Code:

md5sum  OpenFOAM-2.0.1.gtgz
md5sum  ThirdParty-2.0.1.gtgz

The outputted hexadecimal numbers should be identical to the ones on the web page above!

edit: I forgot to mention that if they aren't identical, then you will need to download them once again!

Best regards,
Bruno

Hi Bruno

Thank you for your reply. You are right the md5sum is different. I am going to download and check again.

Cheers,
Tom
