OpenFoam 2.1.0 Ubuntu release 19/12/2011
 

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install OpenFOAM 2.1.0 on Ubuntu 11.10. I have no experience about linux and openFoam, I'm just moving my first steps in numerical simulation field.

Following installation instructions from http://www.openfoam.org/download/ubuntu.php, I got this error at step 3... when I type -> sudo apt-get install openfoam210:

Err http://www.openfoam.com/download/ubuntu/ oneiric/main openfoam210 i386 0-1
404 Not Found
Impossibile recuperare http://www.openfoam.com/download/ubu...0_0-1_i386.deb 404 Not Found

Suggestions?

maybe you didnt wrote
VERS=`lsb_release -cs`
in terminal prompt. i installed today. there was no problem..

First time I didn't... but then I tried again the procedure from beginning using VERS=`lsb_release -cs` and it doesn't work.

I have the same version 11.10 and it does not work for me either.
I followed the instructions on the official openfoam homepage.
While trying to install ParaView the same error occurs when 1 file is not found...

Any ideas?

Just to close the loop, thanks to Ancioi's report on the bug tracker - http://www.openfoam.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=372 - this problem has already been fixed.
