Hi,
my name is Luca and I'm new in openFoam. Could I have some help in building a mesh using blockMesh? The mesh is like the one atacched. Attachment 16192 Kind regards, FF |
Hi Luca,
welcome to the forum. First a general note: the guys here in the forum won't make your homework, but they will help you with problems! Since you are new to OF I recommend you to accomplish the tutorials as mentioned in the user guide. Especially the first two should be very helpful to you (Lid Driven Cavity & Stess Analysis) The first one is good to get a general feeling for OF and the second one is a good basis for your meshing problem. http://www.openfoam.org/docs/user/ (here you find the user guide) I hope the above is of assistance regards |
Hi Colin,
thank you for replying me. I've done the first tutorials but I have a lot of doubts. Are there other docs on mesh? Kind regards, LP |
Well, in the user guide, there is also a section that
covers meshing with blockMesh and explaining all the parameters you can use. Actually this is one of the most detailed chapters of the whole guide and it is possible to understand blockMesh completely just by reading this section. (I know it from my own experience) |
