[blockMesh] blockMesh from scratch - how to visualize it on Paraview?

The main problem is:

how can I see the mesh I have just created using blockMesh command on paraview, without having all the case files (like fvSchemes, fvSolution, 0 folder files, etc..). The only thing I have is the blockMeshDict file as well as the points, faces, owners, etc. files that were generated with blockMesh. Having only those files, how can I visualize my mesh?

Hi,
One does not need the fvscheme and other filed. The file generated by blockMesh is good enough.

The method I always follow is (I am using Windows version of OF):
1. create an empty file in <casename>.openFOAM, where <casename> without <> is the name of the case such as "Test".
2. Place it in the folder along with the 0/, constant/ and system/ directory.
3. Open the file <casename>.openFOAM in Paraview (select file type "all files" and them type "openFOAM".

perhaps I got your Problem.
You have to type "paraFoam" in the case folder after copying just any fvSchemes and fvSolution file from any tutorial you want.

I just saw your message now. I have solved the problem and it was exactly this. I didn't have the fvS* files in my case directory...
