Hi all,
I use lagrangian particles with swak4foam and implemented an additionional force the way it's described in this thread:

http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...gian-data.html

I can run the simulation and first everything works well as the force applied to the particle is exactly what one would expect. The problem now is that the velocity of the particle is much higher than expected although all other values seem to fit (Force, volume, density).
I have no other forces activated than the one I implemented, thus I can assume that nothing else affects the particle.
When I check the output in my logfile I can see that in one step the force on the particle gets calculated up to 150 (onehundredfifty) times. I understand that the lagrangian particles use several stepfractions in their calculations, however this shoudn't usually lead to any problems.

Does anyone know what might be the problem or has experienced something similar?
