2D Moving Mesh - Salome to OpenFoam WorkFlow

Hi,

After a lot of trial and error and going to and fro between forums I have come up with a workflow for preparing a mesh for a 2D moving mesh problem.

I have included a link to the PDF of the workflow for anyone who might be interested. I have made it fairly generic but there is sufficient detail in it to enable someone to follow it through with small amounts of additional research (mainly referring to the Salome tutorials).

I hope that this might be useful as the whole meshing subject was very bewildering to me in the first place and the learning curve can be staggering.

As far as CAD is concerned, as long as your CAD package can export a flat .iges file then you're in business. I used ViaCAD on a Mac for interest.

Please follow this link as the pdf file is a little bigger than I'm allowed to upload:

Best Regards

I might add that the moving mesh I was trying to create was a rotating zone, a little like the tutorial mixerVesselAMI2D, before I moved onto the model I am trying to create.

Andrew
