Salome to OpenFOAM patches tutorial
 

Hello everyone,
I found this a massive pain in the **** to figure out at first as I am just
a beginner with this stuff. So I made a video so others starting out with OF
and/or CAE in general have an easier time to figure it out.

Its just to show how you can get a STEP file into Salome, set up the inlet/outlet/wall patches then import into OF and run it in parallel. Its an interFoam case which is basically a modified version of damBreak.

All case files and such are available for download from my website to follow the
video.

Adding Prism layer
 

Hi,

Thanks for this useful videos. I wanted to add prism layer in the tetrahedral mesh generated but since i am a new bee i am not able to generate that.Can you please provide some guidance to do it. i just wanted to add prism layer in a pipe with tetrahedral cells to capture boundary layer.

I got the solution in the manual how to add viscous layer in the 3 D mesh.its pretty easy.
