Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to generate different physical patches on one face? For example an inlet in the top and a wall in the bottom.

Hope it's just me that doesn't know how to do it, cos it's a little hard work to generate a lot of blocks.

Regards,
Lasse

How about using patchTool to collect faces you want and create the patches?

Hi again,

I've spent most of the day playing with patchTool, but when I came back from lunch it would not start.

It has no problem in opening the preprocess and PatchToool.PatchTool windows, but when I say connect, the terminal gives me this errormessage:

Reading name service reference from '/home/lasb/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.4/.OpenFOAM-1.4/apps/FoamX/ns2.ref'.
Connecting to name service.
Default name service could not be contacted.
PatchToolServer object could not be contacted.

Which I don't understand. I must have done something I'm not aware of. Do you have any ideas what that could be?

Regards,
Lasse

I'm pretty sure it's my /ns2.ref file. It looks like this:

IOR:010000002b00000049444c3a6f6d672e6f72672f436f7. ..

Do you know what it supposed to look like?
