giorgianig is on a distinguished road
I am trying to mesh a volume:

I would like to mesh the circular faces first, and then mesh the volume in order to keep the mesh on the faces as they are generated by the 2D algorithm.

However, when I mesh the volume, the mesh on the faces has changed

I am generating the mesh on the faces as Submeshes of the volume mesh. I am using Netgen 1d-2d for the 2d meshes on faces, and Netgen 1d-2d-3d for the 3d mesh. I am using the same parameters in term of max and min size and boundary layers.

is this the way of doing? Why the 3D meshing algorithm is somehow overriding the 2d mesh generated previously?

Thanks in advance.
