Hi,
I have a problem when I´m want to export the mesh to OpenFOAM 1.5+ format. Im using Netgen 4.9.13 for Windows. The programm brings me always the message: Write OpenFOAM 1.5+ Mesh Files.... Export Error: Invalid mesh.... Aborting! Export mesh to file .... DONE! First I have tested the Netgen with a small testpart and a excerpt from the my part i need this part maybe was 30cm long and the export funktion worked great. The part I wont to make my reserches is 1.5m long, maybe thats the problem??? greets |

Hi,
A Good Evening to you !! Hmmmm.... I use this export function almost every day, so I know that it is definitely working... Question from my side is..... did Netgen successfully mesh the geometry you were trying to export into OpenFOAM? For the OpenFOAM export to work, you need to have the 3D Tet mesh too..... It does not work with just a 2D mesh. Also, you can only export linear elements.... if you asked Netgen to create second order elements, the export will not work. Hope this helps you come further :-)! Have a nice day! Philippose |

hi,
now i have solved my problem. My geometry was to complicated, there were to many small curves. This curves have no influence flow, but for the programm there was to many to calculate, which i don´t need. greets |
