Hello FOAMers,
Can someone direct me to a tool for creating .obj files? For instance, I could see that the tutorial pimpleSyMFoam/propeler uses such file format. If someone is familiar or knows about a free software that serve this purpose, it would be great. Licensed tools are also ok if one knows any. Thanks for your help and best regards. |

Hi
There have been a similar discussion about this in another thread. Meshlab is open source and can read stl and export as obj. OF 2.1 can also convert from stl to obj by using one of the surface commands and give a stl file as input and obj format as output. No free CAD software I know of can export directly to obj. Best
