Hi everyone,
I've generated mesh for a cylinder in gambit. i divide the cylinder into 5 partitions like blockMesh dictionary in openFoam.I assigned name and type just for inlet, outlet and surrounding faces of cylinder in gambit but do nothing for internal faces. I import mesh to my case in openFoam and consider defaultFaces for internal faces of cylinder in boundary dictionary in polyMesh like below: defaultFaces { type empty; nfaces 20836; startFace 171740; } but when I run the solver, some error are appeared in terminal and Foam abort. the error file is attached. any help is appreciated. arjang. |

Hi my friend ,
I don't know what is the origin of your problem but I should say that openfoam doesn't know an internalFace as a boundary face . So defaultFaces are not internalfaces . I think you created a 2D mesh in gambit. Best regards, Sasan. |
