ccm26toFoam problems

Hi all:
I am just starting to use openfoam and I have made a model using star ccm and convert into openfoam. However, during the conversion, terminal says that
for region, did not find ProstarRegionNumber entry for each patches.
anyway, it finishes conversion, and in 0 folder, the cell and celltype occurs.

I changed the BCs to suit my case, but when i run the case use icofoam, there solver doesn't work, any parameters in terminal for each step keep 0, so when i open parafoam, all the picture is red. I don;t know what's wrong with that?
do i need to delete the original P and U folders? just use the cell and celltype folder which get after conversion.

thanks

Not a problem. It's just that it's possible to explicitly assign region numbers to each patch, but it isn't always necessary.

I'm guessing that you did not study properly the first OpenFOAM tutorial, namely the "cavity" case: http://www.openfoam.org/docs/user/cavity.php#x5-40002.1

But if you did study the tutorial properly, then please indicate all of the modifications you've made to the case, including the indication of the mesh characteristics!

Best regards,
Bruno

Quick answer: Please describe your problem in detail instead, because the original question and solution was done well over a year ago.

Hello,

Can you specify how to set the ProStarRegionNumber? I am unable to find any documentation regarding such a setting.
