I a problem. I have generated a mesh using gambit 2.2.30. The mesh format is neu.
When I try to convert this to openfoam I get the following error:

Try loading the mesh into Fluent and writing it out and then try again.

dmoroian is on a distinguished road
But you have Gambit, which means you can save it in fluent format "msh".
So, try that and use fluentMeshToFoam insead of gambitToFoam.

Hi Gabrielle,

In any case, there should not be a problem. Can I have a look at that Gambit file (I wrote the converter). You can find my E-mail address in the profile.
