How to modify a fluent case on FoamX

Hi there,

I don't know if this is a problem of my installation, but after converting a fluent case into OF format, I cannot modify or see the boundary conditions using FoamX. I just got in all fields empty descriptor. But, using a text editor I can verify the BC and I can modify them.

Any sights of what could be the problem?

Cheers,

Joel

Hello Under Mesh-Patches yo

Hello

Under Mesh-Patches you should be able to change the bc:s.

When I convert meshes all my boundaries are set to empty so I have to reset the bc:s manually again.

If you cant change the bc:s then maybe(as you say) there is something wrong with your FoamX. Try to reinstall or try another version.

Hi,

Well probably it is a problem of my installation, dont know, but I tryed in another machine and it was exactly the same. So Hrvoje if you read this message, I'm having this problem under fedora 5 (64bits version). I cannot modify the fields under mesh-patches on FoamX, they are all blocked and set to empty. And according to the previous reply the bc's can be reset manually under FoamX.

It's not a big problem, I still can run OF, but I'm wondering what could be the reason, 'cause probably this will bug me on the future.

Thanks,

Joel
