About non-closed surface

Hi snappy Meshers!

Recently I run into many times that snappy says" its not closed".I tried to make a cylinder via CATIA,ICEM,AC3D.(a cylinder is easy to draw),Only AC3D's cylinder is closed. But why CATIA and ICEM's cylinder have problems?

I often use refinement,so I have to make the cylinder closed.anyone know how to make ICEM's cylinder closed?cuz I am not familar with AC3D anyway~

Tnanks in advance.

Hi Forrest

Check modelling tolerances as this varies for different applications.

Hi Ak,

I dont know how to do this.I upload a simple cylinder made by ICEM. Could you help me to check this out?

Thanks.

Hey

surfaceCheck on your STL says that it is not closed. There are possible gaps where the edges connect.
