Setting up a periodic heat transfer case with cooling rips

Hey Guys,
I'm setting up my first testcase. Like the title says it is a periodic heat transfer case. Periodic means in my case its an infinite loop of the same geometry bodies.

blockMesh is already running but i don't know if i have the right snappyHexMesh setup. I have added some pictures to illustrate my case.
I worked my way through the "motorBike" sHMDict and changed the necessary values.

So here is my .stl sHMDict and blockMeshDict file so you can try it by yourself. If you also need anything else let me know!

Ok so now I'm 1 step further. sHM is running through (10 minutes :D), think my refinement levels are too small.
I've created *.eMesh with surfaceFeatureExtract.
Nevertheless i have still some snapping problems at the edges, see attached picture.

Has someone suggestion what i could change?
By the way surfaceCheck says my *.stl is not closed, does this matter for my case or do i have to close it and if yes how?

I have to apologize for my bad english, i'm a bit out of practice.
