Extract feature edges in paraview
on the snappyWiki (https://sites.google.com/site/snappywiki/snappyhexmesh/snappyhexmeshdict#TOC-Explicit-feature-edge-refinement)
i found that it is possible to extract feature edges in paraview.
"Users can generate feature edge meshes in Paraview by using the Feature Edges filter. Data can be saved in VTK (ASCII) format and then be used by snappyHexMesh."
I tried this with my geometry and saved the edges to a file "edges.vtk", this is a quite straight forward procedure. But how do i use this vtk file in snappyHexMesh? I tried
but this gives me an error
--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
problem while reading header for object edges.vtk
file: /home/ak113859/OpenFOAM/ak113859-2.2.0/run/snappy/splitableBarrel/meteringzone/constant/triSurface/edges.vtk at line 1.

in file db/regIOobject/regIOobjectRead.C at line 95.
Does anyone has an idea how to use the vtk file?
