snappyHexMesh matches wrong cells to CellZone

Hello Foamers,

i`m new with snappyHexmesh and i'm trying to mesh a small tubelike structure with a Mesh. This structure is defined by a (multiple) stl-file and is extracted by its corresponding cellZone created by snappyHexMesh. The Surface is closed (surfaceCheck).

Everything works fine except for some frontfaces (see attached picture). It looks like snappy matches some cells of the surrounding mesh to the cellZone. As you can see it does not happen to every frontface.

I tried to adjust the size of the basic mesh and changed the refinement parameters. But this did not help. It would be glad to get some hints from some more experienced people (The dicts of blockMesh and snappy are attached below).

Hi Siegunn,

I'm currently working on smth similiar. Meaning I have multiple closed surfaces that I want to write in cellZones. Have you tried to activate the refinementRegions and giving it at least the same level as the surface?
