Hello fellow OpenFOAMers!

I am trying to understand why the layer addition algorithm in snappyHexMesh ends up causing the failure of the adaptive meshing algorithm. See this thread for more information. There, they say that the failure is due to the cellLevel and pointLevel files being messed up by snappy.

Could you point me to some code documentation that explains what exactly happens inside the autoLayerDriver.C class? If such a thing doesn't exist, it would be really nice of you to post a step-by-step description if you already know what goes on it there. I would like to avoid trying to start understanding it from scratch.

Thanks!
