sHM with cyclic patch on stl geometry
Hi
I'm generating an inside mesh with snappyHexMesh for a stl-geometry for which I need a cyclic condition on patches of the stl-geometry. The mesh generated by sHM is not identical on the two concerned patches so that createPatch fails. Is there an option to sHM or createPatch that I might have missed? Or is there any other standard procedure I should try? As a workaround I tried to create the initial blockmesh such that the cyclic patches and some of the walls already existed in the initial mesh (and the same were deleted from the stl geometry). This always fails with a segmentation fault right after sHM started the smoothing displacement. Could it be a problem that some of the stl-geometry is in contact with the walls of the initial mesh? This is for both the 1.5.x and the 1.5-dev version of sHM. Can someone give me a hint on how to do this? Thanks in advance, Johannes |
Hi Johannes,
I have been scouting the whole net for an answer to that problem as well. Have you come to a solution now? could you give us some advice to solve this? thank you very much andres |

Use a grid interface i.e. GGI?
