[snappyHexMesh] Extract one face of a sHM-mesh

Hallo

i use openFoam to calculate drag and lift from airfoils which were created in Matlab.

Is there any way to extract a face/patch of a sHM-mesh?

Because the sHM can generate an fine grid with boundarylayer, but i need only a 2D mesh. So I would extract a face and extrude it to a "3d"-mesh with "empty"-boundaries. It would save a lot resources, and time.

Any suggestions?

For OF 1.7 it should work, but I have not been able to run it in OF 2.01.
