Hello World.

For my next problem, I need a axisymmetric geometry like this:



I have done some wedge-geometry before but this is special to me.

I need two different boundary-conditions at the bottom: Inflow for the red area, wall for the blue area.
So, I tried to blockMesh the geometry using two blocks.

blockMeshDict

But this is not working.

How can I manage this problem?
Do you have any ideas?

I think I didn't use the convention that the two wedge-patches should straddle the x-y-plane ...

On first impression the mesh looks good.

I have a similar Problem. It would be very nice if you could help!!! I modified the blockMesh file above to achieve the following Situation:

I have a axisymmetric geometry but with an hole around the center. It is just like your block0 is missing. On the new emerging boundary of the second block1 I have a inflow condition. Do you think this is possible with openfoam without sacrificing the symmetry ???

Hi @all,

I think I solved the Problem concerning the mesh. I attached the corresponding file if somebody should have a similar problem. I thought I had already tried a similar solution but it didn't work



p.s.: the other problem (concerning the formulation of the equations in the grid) is still open for discussion. please help.Thx
