Cfx2Foam

Hi,

I wondered if anyone has is or working on an updated version of the above? The .geo format for CFX has been obsolete for quite a few years now. .gtm was the the standard format when I started working with CFX more than 4 years ago! It would be extremely useful for me to be able to convert CFX meshes into Foam ones. Does anyone have any ideas?

Any help much appreciated, cheers,

Kevin

Unless someone has started on this, the first step will be for you to find documentation on the gtm format. Do you have any?

I have the CFX documentation but it does not give any details of the .gtm format. I will do some digging around and ask on some CFX boards.

In the mean time, I have managed to use ICEM to read a .gtm, write out a Fluent mesh and then used Fluent2Foam - not ideal but it seems to work!

Hi Kevin!

How have you managed to use ICEM to read a .gtm file? Which version of ICEM do you have?

Regards, Marcin!
