Hi foamers ,
I want to import a 3D mesh from GAMBIT to openfoam... I know that fluentMeshToFoam converts a 2D mesh and fluent3DMeshToFoam converts a 3D mesh. Is there any problems if I use fluentMeshToFoam for converting a 3D mesh?? Actually I want to use -writeSets and we know this command must be used for fluentMeshToFoam and it can't use for fluent3DMeshToFoam... Do you think there is any problems?? Is it wrong?? [I used fluentMeshToFoam for converting a 3D mesh and I didn't find any problems but I am not sure that this work is correct or not!!!!] Thanks and best regards, Sasan. |

just comments: Based on my limited experience, fluentMeshToFoam can be used to convert the 3D mesh, it will not affect the simulation results. Now I am using the Fluent3DMeshToFoam becuase my current meshes are complex and multiple bodies from ICEM. However I cannot tell the underlying difference between these two differences.
