Internal Boundary with different boundary conditions

Hi All,

I am a new user of OpenFOAM trying to solve a problem on hydraulic fracturing. To start off I want to create a static fracture. Imagine a penny shaped plane surface of radius 2 m in the middle of a block extending from (-5,-5,-5) to (5,5,5). The penny shaped fracture is in the XZ plane. I am using tractiondisplacement boundary condition developed elsewhere (http://orbit.dtu.dk/fedora/objects/o...1edc71/content) at the external boundaries. Since this boundary condition is a vectorial boundary condition I will need two sets of boundary conditions on my fracture. This is because in order to bloat open the fracture I will need to apply stresses in both the -Y and Y direction of the penny shaped crack.

So far I have created the STL file of the penny shaped crack and the blockMesh file to created the outside block. I can use snappyHexMesh to snap the fracture in the mesh. I am confused how to proceed thereafter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Ripu
