[blockMesh] Setting up an airfoil cascade case in OpenFoam with block mesh

Hi all,

I have a geometry for 2D fan blade consisting of (x,y) points, and I wish to run a RANS simulation for the case when the blades are repeated in a 2D cascade. My blade has a rounded trailing edge and so I am thinking about using an O-grid. I wish to create my mesh using blockMesh. Does anyone have an example where they have done this or can help me out as to where I should start?

I have an octave script which reads the airfoil data and creates a blockMeshDict:

To start type in ysour terminal "octave meshgen_modified_octave.m"

You need geo_LS and geo_US.dat in the same folder as your script.

Maybe this is a good start for you

Great thanks! I actually had something similar for my meshing of an airfoil in a free stream, but I'm not sure how to proceed in order to make a cascade out of this! Thanks for your help.
