Cylindrical annulus meshing

Hi Foamers,
Do you know if there is a tutorial for meshing a a cylindrical annulus ? Is it better to do it with blockmesh, snappyhexmesh or c fields? |

i feel its quite possible using blockMesh, look userguide how introduce arc and block using blockMesh.

Have a look at http://www.sourceflux.de/blog/lamina...ound-cylinder/.
They describe a pretty neat way to create the cylinder using a block mesh with a single block only. Depending on the symmetry properties of your problem this block needs to be replicated by mirroring along planes. Cutter |
