OF: OF-2.3.0
Situation: Compiled fluentDataToFoam in 2.3.0. I import .msh file without issues. Import .dat file and the face is indexing methodology in Fluent is apparently different than OF. The internal cells come over very clean but the boundary faces (i.e walls, inlet, outlet) have inconsistencies with how the face ids are indexed. So I get what appears to be a random distribution of hydro variable face values. Slicing the domain in oaraview reveals a perfect transformation of the internal call values. Probably something Fluent is doing to make it difficult to use these tools. Was curious if someone has run across this issue or knew of a fix. I could write a code to re-arrange the variable arrays in the input files but a nudge in the direction of OFs face indexing methodology would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I am not sure if this will work, but out of curiosity I ask: have you tried renumberMesh after you imported the mesh into OF?

And perhaps just run createPatch with a createPatchDict used to remove empty patches?

Cheers,
Antimony
