[Other] List of Error codes

Is there a list of error codes and their meaning?
For instance, When I tryied to convert from gambit to foam, I got error code 6, but I dont know what it is.

Foam does not print error codes, only error messages so I imagine your message comes from somewhere in the operating system.

Is it a 'bus error' (signal 6)? Do you get any other messages?

Do you get a core file? Does it show anything in the debugger? You have full sources for gambitToFoam in $FOAM_UTILILTIES/mesh/conversion, if you add

-g -O0 -DFULLDEBUG \

to Make/options and recompile ('wmake') and run in the debugger does it show something interesting?

If the mesh file from gambit is binary format you might expect the problem you describe. Try ascii.

I got error code 6 in the java environment of FoamX.
Apparently my Gambit case was not correctly set. (it was missing boundary conditions at surfaces).
