Unofficial builds of OpenFOAM 2.0.x for Windows 32 and 64bits

In the wake of past efforts (2009 and 2010), blueCAPE is now doing something different for OpenFOAM 2.0, opting to release a build based on 2.0.x code (November 28th 2011). We have also released the modified source code in a dedicated open source project online named blueCFD-SingleCore: http://code.google.com/p/bluecfd-singlecore/
There you will find:

Error running Special build of enGrid

Dear Bruno Santos,
I found the
Special build of enGrid 1.3.0 x86_64. I downloaded and ran the file. But I got error message.

Code:

Running the program is impossible, since the computer does not have QtGui4.dll. Try to reinstall the program.
How should I run or install?

I haven't had time to document this at enGrid's wiki, but basically that is a special build of enGrid which relies on the respective architecture version of ParaView 3.12.0 to be installed as well. If you have installed blueCFD-SingleCore, you can follow the instructions for ParaView: http://code.google.com/p/bluecfd-sin...Guide#ParaView - and adapt similar instructions for enGrid as well.

Either way, the official installer of enGrid is accessible from enGrid's wiki.

Best regards,
Bruno

Still getting error

Dear Bruno Santos,
I followed your instructions and it works for official installer of enGrid. When Special Build of enGrid is extracted, I found
Folder 1. blender_scripts
Folder 2. tutorials
File 1. engrid.exe
File 2. libengrid.dll
File 3. nglib.dll
File 3. license.txt
and two website shortcut. The quantity of files are much fewer than the official ones. So I copied the other files from the offical ones and pasted to Special Building Folder. But still getting error!! Hope you could fix this!!!

Dear Min Thaw Tun,

You went the wrong way ;)

It's simple:
  • The official enGrid installer works on its own and doesn't need anything else to be done to it.
  • The special build available at blueCFD-SingleCore is meant to be used with ParaView 3.12.0 and not with the official enGrid installer.
If you want to, you copy those files from the special build into ParaView's "bin" folder!
Best regards,
Bruno

Honestly, I haven't done thorough tests to confirm what the limitations or problems are. AFAIK, it's able to export and import OpenFOAM meshes. As for interaction with the solvers, I simply don't know because I haven't tested.
