Texture fill and outerline

Hi guys,

Two questions, I am not sure if paraview can do this or not, if not do you have any solution to these:

1. How to fill a color or texture in paraview, for example, suppose I have a flow around a cylinder, and I want the cylinder be filled with some texture material, and then screenshot it, how to get this effect?

2. if my domain is not rectangular, and with inlet outlet etc. and is not regular, how to plot the outline of this domain? I know if they are all wall b.c., then I can plot a wall distance contour, but what if they are not wall? Any ideas?

Thanks and have a good day.

Greetings 1/153/dw :D

Need textures? http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaView:Texture

Perhaps feature edges is what you want? http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaVie...#Feature_Edges

Want streamlines in tubes instead of lines? OK, you didn't ask this one, but still... after you apply the streamlines filter, you apply on it the Tubes filter: http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaVie...f_filters#Tube ;)

Best regards,
Bruno

Here is the way how I create a true outline of the computational domain.

Create 2D slice from 3D, and the the feature edge filter is available now.
