paraFoam - "called for invalid fileName NewFolder"

Hello,

I followed what was explained in this link: http://www.openfoam.org/docs/user/ca...#x5-110002.1.2

i.e. 2.1.2 Viewing the mesh, where reference was made to paraFoam. When the ParaView window was opened, I mistakenly closed the 'pipeline browser' & 'Object Inspector'. In the course of trying to play around with it to see if I can bring them up again, this was displayed:

fileName::stripInvalid() called for invalid fileName NewFolder
For debug level (= 2) > 1 this is considered fatal
Aborted (core dumped)

This made the ParaView window not to come up again.

Please kindly advise on what to do. Thank you.

Dear Greatness
That's because you created a NewFolder inside your case.
move it to a different folder or delete it then run paraFoam again

Greetings to all!

Actually, the problem is that the real name of the folder is "New Folder" and OpenFOAM does not like spaces in names of files and folders.

@Greatness: If you rename the folder from "New Folder" to "NewFolder", the problem no longer occurs.

Best regards,
Bruno

Hello everyone!

Thank you very much for you're valuable suggestions.
Another reason of this error might be that after running you're case, you cut the folder into other one.
For my own case, after moving back the folder, paraFoam was loaded with no error.
