Hello

I am trying to post-process the data from icoFoam/cavity in Fluent. When I run the foamMeshToFLuent script it generates a cavity.msh file but Fluent doesn't read it. it gives the following error message:

Reading :"/home/li077/Gambit/cavity.msh"
Error: File has wrong dimensions(3)
Error object: #f

When I try to execute foamDataToFluent I get the following message:

Time = 0.5

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR : cannot open file

file: /home/li077/OpenFOAM/li077-1.3/run/tutorials/icoFoam/cavity/system/foamDataToFlu entDict at line 0.

From function regIOobject::readStream(const word&)
in file db/regIOobject/regIOobjectRead.C at line 68.

FOAM exiting

Any advice?

Shuo

hello
I export data to fluent by foamDataToFluent. In fluent I can see velocity, tempreture ,... but secondary parameter such that wall flux and wall shear stress not caculate in fluent. in the other hand fluent caculate secondary parameter for data file that solved by fluent but don't caculate this parameter for data file that exported from foam.
What I can with this problem?
my soler is buoyantSimpleFoam.
thanks very lot

and the first error (1st post) comes from the fact that the mesh is 3D and not 2D.

Hi Shuo Li

In your case check whether you have foamDataToFluentDict file in system folder of your case.

If you dont then copy the file from tutorials/icoFoam/elbow/system.

It may solve your problem
