Im running the binaries provided at OpenFOAM's site on a Ubuntu box.
OpenFOAM works OK but when I try to run paraFoam on the interFoam/damBreakFine tutorial directory, i got these error messages:

$ paraFoam
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

ParaView error: InitializeTcl failed
Tk_Init error: this isn't a Tk applicationcouldn't connect to display ":0.0"

$

Im trying to run in on my localhost X.
DISPLAY enviroment variable is set to :0.0

Does anybody knows what is wrong?
Can anybody help me please?

Thanks

Jonatas

This error usually appears when you run remotely through an ssh connection, and want to print on the localhost X server ... but it seems this is not the case here.

Try the following command on the localhost:
xhost +

This will enable everybody to print on your screen, so be carefull if you belong to an untrusted network.
