Hello,

I just installed openFoam on FreeBSD 6.1
The process was lengthy, but sucessful. Paraview works fine and the foam installationtest was successful.
However, when trying to run the first tutorial, I get the following error running paraFoam:

# Error or warning: ERROR: In /work/a/ports/science/paraview/work/paraview-2.4.2/Utilities/VTKClientServer/vtk ClientServerInterpreter.cxx, line 866

The root cause seems to be a missing shared library. The library is indeed nowhere to be found.
Does anyone have a hint where to look for the library or how to compile the missing library?

Thanks.

The library is in:
OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.3/lib/linuxAMD64Gcc4DPOpt/libPVFoamReader.so
and should appear after you compile the source of OpenFOAM.
