Mesh
Hi
is there a way of displaying the boundary patches of the meshed geometry in Paraview so that you know which physical boundaries you are modifying? Shuo |

Displaying solid boundaries It says: use Filters->ExtractParts |
- "Extract Parts" in the "Filt
- "Extract Parts" in the "Filter"-menu is what you're thinking of.
- Or you're using the "region"-Subpane of the "Parameters"-tab of the data - Propably there is at least a third way to do it in paraview that I don't know about |
Mesh
Hi
Thanks for the response. What I meant to say is there a way of displaying the names of the boundary conditions on the mesh like in Fluent. With a complex mesh it is hard to know exactly where the boundary conditions are being applied Regards SHuo |
I don't know of any way to do
I don't know of any way to do this. I agree it would be a very useful feature to have though. Anyone with Paraview/VTK knowledge?

This is extremely basic but it
This is extremely basic but it can be done by hand for rather simple geometries using a 3D text source, and playing with the display option. As an alternative you can still write the name of your boundary in the Selection Window. Highlight your surface, then you can change the "Label". HTH
