Hi!

I define a plane in my geometry and want to visualize the velocity with arrows in this plane. No problem so far. But I dont want to see the component of the velocity normal to the plane. Is it possible to show only let me say the x and y component and to remove the z component?

Thanks

You can do it easily with paraview. Select your cutting plane and apply the filter Surface Vector, selecting the option Parallel. Then apply the filter Glyph and set as input the Surface Vector. You should then see only the parallel component of your vector field on the cutting plane.

Hi
Is it possible to do a sample (using the sample function object) and calculate the velocity components on that surface?
