is it possible to write folders after run?

I want to know there is a way to write folders or increase them after ending the run?
is there a keyword or OF doesn't have them in the memory at all after run?

Greetings Ehsan,

Sorry, but I'm unable to understand your questions. Could you please describe an example?

Best regards,
Bruno

hi dear Bruno.
I wonder if there is a way to have results that were not writed during run after that.
Its not possible i think.isn't it so?
OF doesn't time steps information after end of run.is it true? But i wish it could!
Its my 900th post! I don't believe so many posts i have had!
You didn't tell me how to increase my reply power ;)

There are a few possibilities:
  • Run the case all over again, this time keeping in mind you need more time snapshots.
  • Run the case only for a specific time interval, namely where you needed more snapshots.
  • Interpolate results between time snapshots. Someone asked about this several months ago... try looking for these keywords here in the forum:
    Code:

    OpenFOAM interpolate time

The private question you sent me is on my TODO list and is very low in the priorities list I have got... among the higher priority ones was this one: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...gent-help.html ... but apparently it's not as urgent as you made it look like :(

thanks again!
Yes thats still urgent to me.but i do patience to resolve.i post to its thread.
Then is it so complicated?(reply power i mean):D
Maybe it has a trick you don't want to tell me,right dear Bruno? ;)
I think its coded so that the number of likes has effect on reply power, right?
And also i have to remember about arrival of weekend again to end the thread related to calcMassFlow(and maybe funkyDoCalcs) job ! (both threads have been seen near 1000 times)
;)

FYI: I found the following application the other day in OpenFOAM, which relates to this thread... use the following command for more information about it:
Code:

temporalInterpolate -help
But again, this only interpolates over time, it does not calculate the actual simulation values.
