Hi Foamers,
I have a question about the pressure used in the "forces" function in the controlDict file. My case is a cylinder floating in a tank of water. The free surface is still, there is no incident wave. At t=0, I raise the cylinder of x centimeters (vertically) and then I let it go. I look at the free decay oscillations of the body and I would like to monitor the heave radiation forces. - if I put "p" for pName, does this mean that I will have the force from the total pressure? - if I put "p_rgh", does this mean that I will have the hydrodynamic force (from the dynamic pressure)? - and if I put "p_rgh", does this lead to the correct viscous force? I hope that someone can bring an answer! Marie |
