Hi everyone!
I'm trying to write a python script that will mesh, and solve a case automatically after it has received all the informations needed (initial conditions etc). I wold also like it to execute a few post process instructions without the help of the user...and here's where I'm getting some difficulties. I know that Paraview is written in python and that th epython shell and trace could help me...unfortunately I have no idea how to use it... can anybody help me? Thanks, paolo |

Hi!
I've managed my problems with the python shell...(thanks again Elvis!) Now I would like to import the forces calculated by OpenFoam ( postPorcess/Forces/.../forces.dat) and generate a few plots... Until now I copied the values in a Matlab script, and it works fine, but I would like to set (with a python script maybe..?) the case so it can do it automatically. In this way I could have a tool that receives the initial conditions and the geometries (done), automatically generate the mesh (done), perform the simulation (done), display a few scree shots of paraview (done) and plot the forces (???). Can anybody help me..? Thanks, Paolo |
