Dear Foamers,
I'm a bit confused about the representation of a symmetric tensor in the result files, this especially refers to the UPrime2Mean files after time averaging of an LES simulation. In this case, the symTensor should be something like T = (u'u' , u'v' , u''w' v'u' , v'v' , v'w' w'u' , w'v' , w'w') where u'v' = v'u' etc. But I'm wondering which component of the tensor is represented by which entry in the result file? Is it (u'u' u'v' u'w' v'v' v'w' w'w') ? Thanks for your reply! |

Hi,
I dont know it now, but you can use "foamCalc components sigma" which create the volScalarFields sigmaxx,sigmayy... Just type it in you case folder. Ondra |
