Is it somehow possible using sampleDict to sample on a straight but inclined line at certain distance from a patch?
Say for example along the expanding wall of diffuser at particular distance from the wall or at first cell height? someway to use Code:

Greetings canopus,
Sorry, but I didn't understand your question. Are you asking about how to generate the list of points that are at a certain distance from a patch? So that the list can then be provided to the sampling entry? For other readers, canopus was referring to this entry: Code:
somePatchPoints { // Sample nearest points on selected patches. Looks only up to // maxDistance away. Any sampling point not found will get value // pTraits<Type>::max (usually VGREAT) // Use with interpolations: // - cell (cell value) // - cellPatchConstrained (boundary value) // - cellPoint (interpolated boundary value) type patchCloud; axis xyz; points ((0.049 0.099 0.005)(0.051 0.054 0.005)); maxDistance 0.1; // maximum distance to search patches (".*Wall.*"); } Best regards, Bruno
