Field Average on a plane -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

li. New Member aline Join Date: Aug 2015 Posts: 1 Rep Power: 0	Hi, I'm quite new in OpenFOAM, and I would like to create a plane on my domain and extract "area weighted average" of a field. Is that possible? Using patchAverage, I must use a patch, and using sampleDict, I can create a plane, extract the field on each cell zone, but not only the field average... Does anyone could help me? Thanks
