Hi there,

I'm doing a thesis on fire whirls and have run most of the simulations I need. I'm now looking to extract the relevant information using Paraview 3.12.0 in order to start commenting on my results, but I have been unable to find a suitable way of doing this. Seeing as though my simulations are 30 seconds long, I have deleted the first 8 or so seconds of files (before the whirl is stabilized) and then used the TemporalStatistics Filter to compute the time averaged values.

A key goal of my thesis is to determine what effects changing certain parameters will have on the length of the flame. So far, the only method in Paraview I've come across to measure the flame length is through the Ruler function found in Source. I've basically just had to try visually line it up. Is there a better way to do this?

I also need to plot Tangential Velocity versus Radial Distance (across the flame tip), as well as tangential and vertical vorticities across the flame tip, however am not sure how this could be done?


Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
