I have a problem in reading the file created by foamDatatoFluent.

Fluent does not read the boundary conditions from the file converted through foamDataToFluent.

Instead it uses the internal field values. For instance, the velocity at no slip walls is equal to the the flow velocity.

I checked the .dat file and it did have the boundary values (e.g inlet velocity) although could not find the boundary labels.

Please help.

In a Fluent case, the boundary conditions are written in the .cas file, while the .dat contains only runtime value.
Hope this helps.

Thanks.

In that case the foamDataToFluent creates only a .dat file. So how can I view the OpenFOAM results in Fluent ?

foamMeshToFluent -> creates .msh file (note, -msh, means no BC defined)
foamDataToFluent -> creates .dat file

Open both in Fluent and you'll be able to see the solution.

Thanks Francesco...
But I am doing exactly that and I do see the interior domain. But whenever I check out the values on the boundaries they are the same as that on interior.

Has anyone faced a similar problem ?
