thanks for your reply, in fact: it works...!
Still weird though, since it gives the same solution as using zero surfaceNormalFixedValue, except for the value on the boundary itself.

The manual mentions for the slip condition: the normal component of a vector with fixedValue zero. Shouldn't that be the same as surfaceNormalFixedValue then, or am I wrong?
