Integrate Variables using PAraFoam

Hi,

I have a simple rectangular geometry and I have say three variables, C1,C2 and U. Now I would like to find the difference of C1 and C2 across the cross section, that is integrate (C1-C2) with respect to dy. similarly I would like to calculate the average velocity U across the cross the section i.e integrate U with respect to dy. I have the files of C1, C2 and U. How can I do this in OpenFoam (paraFoam).. Currently I am loading the data in matlab and then doing it but it looks a bit tedius as the data points generated from blockmesh are not uniform and further C1,C2, U files have values in the internal fields. Hence it is very difficult to integrate them across all the points using Matlab.. I would like to know how such things are can be implemented in openfoam,...

Kindly give your suggestions.

Thanks

Regards

Vishal

IntegrateVariables

Isn't IntegrateVariables filter in paraview, what you are asking for?

integrate variables

Hi Dragos,

You are correct, I would like to use the integrate variables filter but I don't know how exactly I should use them.. Could you throw some light with regard to this... (as in give a short procedure)

Thanks
