TomKopp is on a distinguished road
I am trying to simulate highly viscous flow in a static mixer. Therefore, I employ a single phase simulation (i.e., with nonNewtonianIcoFoam) and finally I would like to define two zones of different color at the inlet and investigate the mixing (i.e., formation of layers) along the geometry. In commercial software like Polyflow this is done by calculating the trajectories of a large number of material points (a so-called mixing task) and performing a statistical analysis afterwards. Are there similar possibilities in OpenFOAM? Thank you in advance!
