streamline plot for multiphase problem
I can't plot the proper streamline after I got the solution from interFoam with vof method. And I am using paraFoam and tecplot360. The problem is I want to plot the streamline in the liquid phase, but the softwares give out the streamline in the whole computational area.
this is the streamline I get in the tecplot360:
This is a picture in a published paper, and the author says he use the vof, too.
Can anyone tell me how to remove the gas phase and get the streamline like the second picture?
You can filter the streamlines from the second face e.g. using the threshold filter with alpha before the streamline filter, but that will not give you the same image. The velocity field in both results is fundamentally different. OpenFOAM's VOF algorithm solves a mixture momentum equation and thus gives you one velocity field that applies to both phases (the mixture), whereas I guess your literature result solves a coupled set of momentum equations (one for each phase).
stream function iso line
i want to compare my result from InterFOAM with a literature which use a level set method and a mixture transport equation,
please look at attachment
all values in attached pictures except stream Function (sai) are all known, but i dont know how i can calculate stream Function when we have its directional gradient?
i can not use streamFunction command because my geometry is axisymetric and cyclic .
